Mrs. Griffiths came to ISM in September, 2013. She earned her Bachelor and Master degrees from Hampton University in Virginia in the pure and applied sciences.
Having been a classroom teacher for 20 years, it has always been her passion to make learning accessible and relevant using technology in an efficient and effective way.
Mrs. Griffiths’ transition to home schooling further prepared her for meeting the needs of ISM students; she now works along with faculty members to transform their curriculum into web based virtual classrooms, and teaches students from all over the country, whose quest for knowledge is not driven by high marks on exams, but their natural inclination to answer the question “Why?”.
“Help a child on the path to realizing their own success, by showing them what success looks like. Whether we embrace it or not, parent’s lives are the template most children follow. Children will learn more watching us navigate our own lives than they ever will in a classroom. As a mother, teacher, and a homeschool advocate, I understand the desire and need for our families to have access to a world class education. Being in control of our children’s education can open new doors to learning much more than in a traditional school setting. Having experts design and tailor classes that fit, and grow with our children assures that our children will receive the BEST that education has to offer.”
